Banks still find it too difficult and expensive to transform legacy core systems. This is due to extreme focus on channels, disregarding necessary integration with business processes.


Many digital banks or new digital challengers across Asia Pacific are built on agile innovative best practices — way ahead of incumbents in terms of flexibility, self-service capabilities, customer needs, and personalization.

There is strong drive to grow banking ecosystems, integrating fintech solutions from cloud marketplaces, and enriching transactions from the banks’ core system. Consideration for  “connected core” transformation — working on platform-based and componentized modernization, and API-enablement.
